CDR Lynn Van Pelt graduated from the University of MS School of Dentistry in 1996 and completed the one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in 1997. CDR Van Pelt started her career with the IHS in Bethel, AK in 1997 as a staff dentist. In 2003, she completed the Advanced General Practice Residency (AGPR) at the W.W. Hastings Indian Hospital in Tahlequah, OK and accepted the assignment as the Deputy Chief at the Haskell Indian Health Center in Lawrence, KS. In March 2007, she joined the staff at IHS Headquarters Division of Oral Health (DOH).
