LCDR Webb began her federal service in the Army as a medic at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA. That was where she completed her undergraduate degree in nursing from Armstrong State College and was commissioned through the Army’s ROTC program. She served at Fort Bragg, NC as a staff nurse in maternal child health during Desert Storm. At the completion of her military obligation she worked in various nursing positions, primarily community health, in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. She had begun to work toward re-entry into the military when the attacks occurred on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001. She entered the Air Force in August of 2002 and served as Nurse Manager of the Hauth Birth Center at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland AFB, TX. During this time she earned her master’s degree in Quality Systems Management. After her tour in the Air Force, during which time she deployed to Landstuhl, GE to care for wounded troops, she entered the USPHS in July 2005. Her first assignment was as a case manager at the Southcentral Foundation in Anchorage, AK with the Indian Health Service. Currently, LCDR Webb is stationed in Rockville and working as a Transformation Officer. Her interests are fitness, playing piano and reading. She is married and has one daughter.
