CDR Sonny Saini is a Director Health Promotions Officer for the Division of Training and Development, Office of Executive Programs, Food and Drug Administration in Silver Spring, MD.  In this position CDR Saini is responsible for coordinating advanced training programs for CDER staff in collaboration with universities and professional organizations.  The training programs CDR Saini coordinates help CDER staff better achieve the CDER mission.

CDR Saini graduated from Howard University – College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2000.  He is a licensed pharmacist in the states of Maryland, Virginia, and New Jersey.  He earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 2008. 

CDR Saini has been an officer in the U.S. Public Health Service for over 7 years and he has served in various assignments within the FDA.  He has deployed on two separate occasions and has also assisted with pharmacy relief efforts with the Indian Health Service and Bureau of Prisons during TDYs.  He has received several PHS awards including the PHS Commendation Medal, PHS Achievement Medal, PHS Citation, Outstanding Unit Citation, and Unit Commendations.
