Why Join?

  • COA is the only entity whose sole focus is to safeguard the welfare and future of the Commissioned Corps

  • Membership with the DC COA means being part of an association of fellow officers with the opportunity to serve and volunteer for various events within the greater capital area

  • Networking opportunities with other local officers

  • Leadership opportunities within the many DC COA committees

    • Serving on a COA committee or the COA board of directors or as a local branch officers such as the DCCOA local branch, provides leadership opportunities which are recognized by the Commissioned Corps when you come up for promotion.

  • You must be a DCCOA member to serve or receive recognition (E.g, Certificate of Appreciation) for these leadership opportunities.

Membership in DC COA is ONLY $10 per fiscal year with an active national COA membership.

 

To Join or Renew Membership:

Go to www.coausphs.org, log in or create a new account, and follow these steps:

  • Click the down arrow in the upper right corner near your name.

  • Go to My Account to edit your profile and renew your membership. 

  • Ensure your contact information and personal profile is up-to-date. 

  • Call the office staff at 301-731-9080 for questions or assistance.

Also note that COA runs on a fiscal year of July 1-June 30.
