No-Cost Coaching for USPHS Officers at HHS
WHO: USPHS Commissioned Corps officers stationed at HHS (federal employees)
WHAT: The HHS Federal Internal Coach Training Program (FICTP) is offering a limited opportunity to engage in no-cost, one-on-one professional coaching with NIH and HHS coaches-in-training. This program supports leadership development, self-reflection, and intentional growth across professional and personal domains.
WHEN: Ongoing availability. Coaching engagements typically consist of approximately six (6) one-hour virtual sessions, scheduled based on participant and coach availability.
WHERE: Virtual (Microsoft Teams or other agreed platform)
DETAILS: Coaching is a structured, confidential, and collaborative process aligned with International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards. Through coaching, participants can:
Strengthen self-reflection and awareness.
Enhance creativity and problem-solving.
Build accountability for goals.
Navigate complex professional challenges with greater clarity.
Coaching is not mentoring or counseling; coaches do not provide direct advice but instead facilitate insight and forward progress through guided conversation.
Participation includes:
Approximately one-hour coaching sessions.
A structured coaching experience aligned with ICF principles.
Optional recording of one session (with consent) for coach credentialing purposes.
All coaching conversations are confidential, except in situations involving safety concerns or other mandatory reporting requirements.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Please review the attached flyer featuring NIH coaches-in-training and contact a coach directly to begin your coaching engagement.
COST: No cost to participants
PROGRAM DURATION: Flexible; coaching engagements are typically completed over several weeks to months, depending on scheduling.
