Round 2: Apply Now for the 2024 DC COA USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium Scholarship Program - Deadline: April 5th, 2024

The District of Columbia Commissioned Officers Association (DC COA) is thrilled to announce additional funding opportunities for the 2024 DC COA USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium Scholarship Program. We are reopening the application process to accommodate additional candidates.

This program aims to provide financial support of up to $500 to junior DC COA officers attending the USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium scheduled to take place in Jacksonville, FL from June 24th to 27th, 2024. DC COA's primary objective is to promote the participation of junior officers and foster mentoring opportunities at the Symposium by alleviating financial barriers to attendance.

Eligibility:

·        Junior PHS Officers ranked O-4 and below

·        Must be members of the DC COA to apply

Preference will be given to applicants who:

·        Have made contributions to DC COA (e.g., held leadership roles, participated in events, etc.)

·        Will actively participate in the symposium (as a presenter/speaker, event lead, etc.)

·        Will participate in mentoring or being mentored (officially or unofficially) at the symposium

·        Receive no or partial funding from their agencies

2)   Provide a screenshot verifying your DC COA membership.
